Bathroom, Private Client, Oslo, Norway

Designed as a private retreat within a contemporary Oslo home, this bathroom embraces the calm beauty of the surrounding landscape. Floor-to-ceiling glazing frames views of the forest, allowing natural light and seasonal changes to become part of the interior experience. The open layout and restrained composition create a space that feels peaceful, balanced, and effortlessly connected to nature.

A palette of pale stone, richly grained walnut, brushed metal, and soft natural textiles defines the room. Twin stone vessel basins sit atop sculptural timber vanities, while the freestanding bath becomes the focal point, complemented by a handcrafted walnut bath tray. Vertical timber detailing, softly illuminated arched mirrors, and muted olive curtains introduce warmth, rhythm, and depth without overwhelming the simplicity of the design.

Every detail has been carefully considered to create a refined spa-like atmosphere. Minimal styling, tactile materials, and subtle lighting work together to encourage moments of quiet ritual and relaxation. The result is a timeless bathroom where Scandinavian simplicity and Japandi warmth come together to create an elegant sanctuary for everyday living.
